Edema

Edema refers to fluid retention in the legs. Fluid that normally circulates through the limbic system can become trapped in the legs and cause unsightly swelling and discomfort. Edema can be treated by lowering salt intake, elevating the legs, and using compression stockings to prevent fluid from building up.
